Phonelocator Text is a Symbian S60 5th edition application for touch screen mobiles such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, X6, N97, N97 Mini, 5530 XpressMusic, 5230, 5233 and 5235. With this application you can send your location via text message. This application allows you to send an SMS message containing a link to your location quickly and easily.

The application is integrated with the mobile phone's contacts and messaging. It's a native Symbian and not JavaME so it loads fast. A list of contacts will be displayed. To send location, the user should select a contact to send their location to. An SMS editor will be displayed that's pre-filled with a message that contains the recipients name, the time and a link to the phone's location. If desired, the message can be edited and additional recipients added. The message can be sent by selecting Options -> Send.

This application is completely freeand completely off-line - so you only pay for sending the SMS message, not any data traffic. The SMS is also pre filled for you with the recipients name and the position so you don't need to write anything extra in the SMS message unless you choose to.
