Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition is a nice Java game for Symbian S60 v5 based mobiles. The objective of Monopoly is to try to be the wealthiest player at the end of the game. You earn wealth by buying, trading, and building up properties in order to change rent to other players.
The world ’s number one game has gone global! Millions of people from all over the world voted for their greatest cities so now everyone can play Monopoly on a global scale. You will travel around the world wheeling and dealing in millions of Monopoly dollars. You will have purchase option available in-game. In the default rules, each player is given $15M. when it is your turn, roll the dice and move that number of spaces. When you land on a space, one of several things can happen. An unowned property can be purchased for the value marked on the board.
If you choose not to purchase the property, the property goes up for auction to the highest bidder. If you land on an owned property, you pay that player the amount of rent noted on the deed. If you land on a chance or community chest space. Take a card from the corresponding deck, and follow the instructions, you can also land on super tax or income tax. If you land on super tax, pay the amount listed on the board. The income tax space will charge you $20M. Free parking is just a free resting place. You receive no money for landing on this space, unless you change the house rules.
As you pass go, you collect $20M. You can be sent directly to jail by landing on 'Go to Jail' space. If you roll doubles, you get to take another turn, rolling doubles three times in a row will send you to jail. When in jail, you can pay bail, roll double, or use a 'Get out of jail free' card. There is much more than what I mentioned here. I remember when i was a kid, I used to play this game quite often. It was a good time pass for me and my friends.
The game is developed by Venan Entertainment, Inc and published by Electronic Atrs. The game works with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, X6, 5230, 5233, N97, N97 Mini, 5530 XpressMusic, Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Satio.
