Panchang 2010 is an excellent application which presents accurate Hindu calendar dates and festivals. Panchang is based on drik ganita and uses precise moment for planetary events. By default Panchang location is set to Ujjain. It can be changed to any other country/city supported by Panchang.

By default Panchang is set to show information based on Purnimant Panchang which considers full moon to mark the beginning of new month. It can be set to Amavasyant Panchang which considers new moon to mark the beginning of new month. The sunrise and sunset timings are based on Hindu calendar and might differ from observational sunrise and sunset upto 10 minutes. All Ekadashi fasts are calculated according to Smarta sect.

The interface of Panchang application is really nice and provides you following views-
  1. Panchang View: provides following information for each day.
    • Location
    • Sunrise and Sunset
    • Moonrise
    • Paksha
    • Tithi
    • Nakshtra
    • Yoga
    • Karna
    • Sun Sign and Moon Sign
    • Lost Tithi
  2. Festival View: lists all festivals in focused month. It povides navigation button for next and previous month. Festivals included in month view.
    • Ekadashi
    • Pradosh
    • Shraddha
    • Eclipses
    • Purnima
    • Amavasya
The application provides Panchangs for more than 100 cities which includes Australia, Nepal, India, UK and USA cities. It maps Gregorian dates to corresponding Hindu dates.

The application is developed by Adarsh Mobile Applications to work with Symbian S60 5th edition touch screen mobiles such as Nokia N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5800 XpressMusic, 5530 XpressMusic, 5230 and 5233.
