Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta Pushed to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Nokia Messaging for social networks beta (Communities client Beta 2 V0.7.395) is pushed to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device by Nokia. The application is available to download. When you click on the "Facebook" application icon in your mobile, it will take you to download page where you can download the communities client for your mobile.

 


As shown in the image, a new Facebook and Twitter Beta application is available to download. You can click on "Yes! Download" button and it will download this application for you. If you are unable to see this page, you can also download this application from here. This application brings the support of both Facebook and Twitter. The beta version of this application works on Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5800, and Nokia X6. The features of this application are-
  1. Contextual homescreen widget – jump directly to your Facebook and Twitter posts and tweets to comment. (Devices which supports homescreen widgets like N97 and N97 Mini)
  2. Live Facebook and Twitter updates pushed to your phone homescreen
  3. Update your status on Twitter
  4. View / reply to your Tweets
  5. Communication choices – multiple ways to interact with your friends and social network circles straight from the client (e.g. post a comment, call, SMS, or email)
  6. Share your current location and your points of interest in a post or in a message leveraging device GPS location and Ovi Maps (e.g. view friends’ location, add your location)
  7. Multi pictures uploads
  8. Video uploads
  9. Search
  10. Full profile support
  11. Save Facebook invites to phone calendar
  12. Events: View upcoming events, birthdays
The application is still under development and many of the features are yet to implemented.
