Nokia today has released a new version of Java RunTime for S60 based devices such as Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97. According to Nokia, new runtime will make Java apps on your mobile more smooth and simple. Nokia Java RunTime 2.0 is completely re-written Java mobile execution environment which brings several performance and usability improvements.

The major change with this release is that now Nokia Java Runtime will be developed and released independent from S60 releases. You can update it from your mobile phone using Nokia software updater.
