You love comics and want digital comics on your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or N97, so that you can read the comics on the way anywhere and everywhere. TouchComic brings this feature to your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. TouchComic is an application developed by Jamie Fuller.

How this application works: TouchComic is an effective CBZ reader. .CBZ or .CBR is comic book archive file or comic book reader file, a type of archive file for the purpose of sequential viewing of images, especially comic books.

The features of TouchComic includes:

  • Zip, CBZ file support
  • JPG/Gif and PNG content
  • Full Screen mode with Touch/Gesture based controls.
  • Intelligent Auto-fit scaling option
  • Portrait/Landscape operation



To use this application, you need PyS60 runtimes( 1.9.3 or higher ). You can get this runtime here. Once you are done with PyS60 installtion, You need to install TouchComic. You can get the installer from here. All set, now you need a sample .CBZ( comic ) file to view it on your Nokia 5800. You can download sample comic from here. Make sure that all .CBZ files is stored on the memory card (E:) in a folder called "Comics".


TouchComic is now in version 1.4 with many new features when compare to earlier versions. Enjoy comic on your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with TouchComic.
